When we think about hiring a removalist, the first thing that comes to our minds is PRICE, but have you ever really thought beyond just the initial cost of the hourly rate.

If you have not, then you may be surprised on how the costs can just add up when choosing a company with a lower hourly rate.

The things you need to consider when hiring a cheap removalist are listed below.

1. Do they have power tools?

If they do not have power tools, then the time taken to dismantle and reassemble furniture is a massive cost to the client.

Power tools just make the process so much quicker than an ordinary screwdriver.

2. Do they have any hidden charges?

Many small operators have hidden costs that they do not mention in their quotes. Fees like a fuel levy, GST on top of the quote, depot fees and stair charges are several fees that they add which can end up costing you more.
